Acting as a positive role model, Jim Snack communicates his joy of reading while teaching important lessons.  Each lesson is presented within the structure of a magic trick or routine.  Children how to distinguish “good vs. bad” television, how to persevere when learning from books, and most importantly they learn that reading is the secret for making their dreams come true.

Reading is Magic is a 40-minute assembly program for grades K-6.  Most schools, however, prefer to have two performances: Grades k-3 and 4-6.  While the magic is the same in both shows, the delivery is changed slightly to suit the grade level. The show is entirely self contained and travels with its own curtains, backdrop and public address system.  It can be presented just about anywhere—in your auditorium, cafeteria, or even on a gym floor!
